Bio

August LeFevre is an extraordinarily versatile guitarist who has been playing in the Seattle area for over a decade. He has studied under distinguished players of the electric, classical and steel-stringed guitar and at Cornish College of the Arts and Berklee College of Music. Gus has also studied with Michael Nicolella, Alex De Grassi, Larry Coryell, and the guitar chairs of Julliard, Yale, and Curtis schools of music.


His sound can range from tranquil and ambient to dissonant and electrifying. Past performances have included works by J.S. Bach, Alex de Grassi, Edward Van Halen, Michael Hedges, Andy Mckee, Michael Jackson, Billy Strayhorn, Jimi Hendrix, Toru Takemitsu, Dorival Caymmi, Mississippi John Hurt and others.
